You only have to pay a one-time registration fee of LKR 100/- as administration fees and account, credit care, debit card and payment verification cost. Simple meals.lk charges you thereafter, 15% per sale from your menu/listed items for the use of the web platform and the web services provided to you. Yes, it’s that reasonable for all the services and benefits you receive.

24How much can I earn?

Our partners earn on an average 60 to 70 thousand rupees a month. But that is all up to you. You can set your own targets and earn much more, by promoting your food and marketing your products via social media and through our web adverting services.

25How do I join?

It’s simple as a simple meal, just register as a partner, by filling up your details, then fill up your kitchen details, start entering or uploading your menus and your done! Once you enter the site and register as a partner you will see the host of benefits that await you.

26I don’t cook on a regular basis, for how long will be account stay active/valid?

Once you register your account will be active till you request to deactivate you account. No need to worry about your account expiring, but make sure your menus and menu/listing charges are up to date.

27Can I sell packed food?

Yes you can sell almost anything! Just select the food pack category, in the main food category when you are updating your menu or creating a new menu. In fact, the fastest selling items on our web platform are all food packs.

28Can I sell fruits and vegetables?

Yes you can, and why not! You only have to pack them and categorize as under packed food. You will also need to mention the portion size such as small, medium and large. You can add value to these items by cleaning and cutting/chopping/dicing and selling them to other partners or customers as well.

29Can I sell deserts and sweet meats?

Desert and sweet meats and many more items can be sold by you on our web platform. If you have any trouble entering a special dish or item please do not hesitate to call us. You can give them (customers) the option of delivery or pickup as well. The options are limitless. No! no one else can see your recipes and costing all your information is kept confidential with us. So, make sure that you do not share your passwords or give access to any unauthorized persons to your account. We advise you to change your passwords on a regular basis.

Yes, you can register as a partner. All you have to do is enter your restraint name in our kitchen linting that’s all. No hassle no fuss!

39I am already registered with another site; can I be a partner?

Yes, you can register with us and have other accounts in other sites/ food sales web platforms as well.

40Can fast food chains be partners?

Yes, fast food chains can be a partner but this site and web platform is all about home cooked meals but do join and be a part of us.

42Who is responsible for bad food?

If Partner is asking a question - You as a partner are responsible of the quality of food that you prepare in your kitchen or out-source and/or provide/sell on our web platform. This web platform (simplemea.lk) is only a service provider that provides you with a virtual selling platform and related services, enabling you to promote and sell your products.

43Who is responsible when an order is not delivered?

If Partner is asking a question - You as a partner are responsible for any and all orders that are not delivered, that you prepare in your kitchen or out-source and/or provide/sell on our web platform. This web platform (simplemeal.lk) is a service provider, that provides you with a virtual selling platform and related services to promote and sell your products. You as a partner will be responsible to follow up with the third-party delivery services or your own delivery process and ensure that customers receive their order/s as promised by you.

44When do I get my money back when my food is not delivered?

Your money will be returned back to you, within seven (07) working days.

45What is the standard delivery time?

All delivery times are dependent on our third-party delivery partners delivery timings and schedules. Please visit/contact our delivery partners for more information. Your delivery time is also dependent on our partners preparation and making ready time which varies from partner to partner and is mentioned/seen in the food/menu listings on the web site

50Will I be able to track my order status on-line?

This option is not available at the moment but we will be enabling tracking options very soon to keep you up to date with your order. For now, you will be receiving a SMS and /or e-mail upon conformation of your payment and acceptance or rejection of your order. Please bear with us till we get this feature on line. All partners are liable to pay their own taxes and levies, for their income earnings as per the income tax regulations and/or local government regulations prevailing from time to time. 53Are there minimum safety regulations that I must follow?

As a partner you must follow and maintain certain policies, procedures and standards that are expected by you from us (simplemeal.lk) these requisites are to maintain desired standards of quality and safety in food processing, ensuring the food safety for our customers. (Link to food policy doc)

54How often can I change my pricing?

You can change you pricing as often as you like, but make sure that customers don’t get confused or loose trust in you. We provide you with a pricing guideline (suggested pricing) when you are listing your menus/food items.

55Can I supply outside of my Partner Sector?

Yes if your product/s are getting popular customers from all over will want your product/s. the delivery charges may change as per customer location that’s all.

56Do I need to pay a commission to another partner in another partner sector if a customer orders from me but delivery is outside of my sector?

No this is not necessary! you will be only paying our site charges, bank charges and any taxes only.

57What if I find I have run out of a key ingredient after accepting an order, will I be able to reverse the accepted order and inform the customer through the Simple Meal.lk website/app?

Once order is accepted there should be no changes undertaken. You will have to ensure the delivery of the food to the customer. Use our free ERP system provided by the platform and you will get auto reminders when your stocks reach re-order levels.

58Is there a penalty if I cannot meet the delivery after accepting the order?

Yes you will be down rated automatically by simplemeal.lk, further the money paid to you by the customer will be reversed and paid back to the customer. If you have recurring issues your listings will be taken down and you will not be able to trade on our site under kitchen name.

59If there are issues with delivery through third party delivery companies, will I need to sort out the problem or will Simple Meal.lk intervene to solve the problem or is it the delivery Company’s responsibility once they have accepted to deliver the order?

Once third-party delivery partners have accepted the deliver part of the customers order it is up to them to ensure the delivery takes place.
